Counselling in the heart of Christchurch

Maternity Leave

I look forward to meeting new clients after I return from maternity leave.

What kind of counselling is it?

Think of it as a chance to talk things over with someone who can help you find your own ways to make the most of your situation – no matter how challenging. You won’t have an expert telling you what to do or offering baffling options. Who would know more about what’s right for you than you?

Find out more about what you can expect from our sessions.

Help with issues including…

  • Stress
  • Conflict
  • Relationships
  • Personal development
  • Clear communication
  • Managing life changes

I can also help you to prepare for a committed relationship, or to set some goals and keep to them.

Tailor-made for you

There’s no charge for the first appointment. It’s a chance to get to know each other and look at how we might work together. If you’re ready to go ahead, we will find a regular time to talk together. You will decide what’s most important for you to work on. You might want to develop some new skills or have some help to identify skills you have used in the past that you could use in a more focused way.

Where is Counselling Christchurch?

Our counselling sessions will take place in a comfortable central-city, non-medical location.

My Qualifications

As well as having a degree in psychology, I have completed a Diploma in Counselling at CPIT. I receive regular professional supervision. You also get the benefit of a counsellor who is an applicant member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors, so you can be assured that my work is guided by the ethics of a professional body.

Government funding for counselling

For some people, depending on their circumstances, counselling can be funded by WINZ. I have application forms for the Disability allowance which we can fill out together.
